A professional development workshop for middle and high school science teachers in Missouri, Kentucky, Illinois, and Indiana - with a focus on plate tectonics, earthquakes, and Earth structure beneath the central U.S.

• presentations and activities on plate tectonics, earthquakes, and seismograph interpretation
• results from EarthScope geophysical experiments
• hands-on and classroom-adaptable activities
• field trips to sites of geological interest
• stipend, lodging and meals (and snacks) provided
• 16 hours of continuing education credit + option for graduate credit
